ENT
With Argon-Plasma Coagulation ERBE offers a wide range of therapeutic options for surgical ENT procedures. The system consists of an electrosurgery unit (VIO) and an Argon Plasma Coagulation unit(APC2). ERBE instruments such as applicators and probes, which have been optimally designed for the different applications, are available for almost every surgical ENT procedure.
In general, the advantage of APC in ENT lies in the ability to carry out rapid, effective and safe coagulation, including larger surface areas – homogenous hemostasis. THe pentration depth is controllable and can be carefully adjusted, particular with the new modes of PULSED APC, FORCED APC and PRECISE APC, which offer a range from superficial to deep coagulation. The perforation risk is largely excluded. Applications can be carried out axially, laterally or radially. Identified pathology can be safely devitalised with APC. Large tissue anomalies which may lead to stenoses can be immediately reduced.
