APC
By ERBE:
APC is a non-contact procedure with minimal vaporisation and carbonisation, which offers good wound healing. The risk of the probe tip sticking to tissue with subsequent tearing of the coagulated vessels is distinctly reduced. APC is easier to handle compared to laser procedures and does not require extensive safety measures. Economically APC is also superior to laser procedures.
Advantages of APC at a glance
- Rapid and effective coagulation/devitalisation including larger surfaces.
- Penetration depth can be controlled well
- Homogenous coagulation possible
- Non-contact procedure
- Minimal vapourisation and carbonisation
- Good postoperative healing
- Procedure is easy to carry out without requiring extensive safety measures
