This course is an introduction for dental professionals of the advances in soft tissue laser applications that dental hygienists can utilize in daily practice. In this 1 hour course you will learn DCNZ guidelines around what the expected knowledge and skillset is to train to use soft tissue lasers in your dental hygiene practice and also gain an insight into what treatment options diode lasers can offer.
This course is meant to help you decide if you wish to pursue and train further to become a laser dental hygienist, or if you would just like continuing education and professional development about laser information and techniques. We will cover basic laser safety, what lasers can do for you and your practice, as well of techniques available, and the DCNZ recommendations around adequate training to use diode lasers.
