Course Overview: The use of lasers in endodontics has seen significant acceptance over the last several years. Different types of laser wavelengths and protocols have been proposed, which at times, has caused some degree of confusion for clinicians. This evidence and case-based presentation will illustrate the benefits of using the Er,Cr: YSGG all-tissue laser in every aspect of your endodontic practice.
Learning Objectives
- Describe the important laser-tissue interactions and why the Er,Cr:YSGG laser wavelength is optimal for endodontic practice
- Identify how to properly use the Er,Cr:YSGG laser to facilitate canal negotiation, achieve patency and enhance debridement and disinfection of the root canal system
- Identify how the Er,Cr:YSGG laser is seamlessly incorporated into endodontic workflow on every case
- Understand why the Er,Cr:YSGG laser is optimal for soft and hard-tissue procedures (gingivectomy, flap incision, osteotomy, root resection, etc.)
